• Detailed exploration for approximately 925 feet of existing wharves to be demolished and replaced with a new reinforced concrete wharf supported on 20-inch square precast/prestressed concrete displacement piles.
• Project included wharf bearing and batter piles, fender piles, bulkheads, pneumatic fenders with removable steel backboards, new pavements, and various utility and roadway improvements.
• Wharves designed to support 100-ton mobile crane operations for the maintenance and repair of various submarines.
• Services during construction including a test pile program with probing, test pile driving, dynamic pile testing, and static pile load testing.
