Performed a comprehensive geotechnical exploration during design to develop foundation engineering and pavement design recommendations for the construction of a 58,000 square feet single level, warehouse building with a mezzanine, and a loading dock pit with 8 docking positions for container vans and trucks.
This project included the extensive testing and reuse of existing "Raymond" Step-taper pile foundations for Building 476 that formerly occupied this site and select new piles to support the new building.
Developed a cost effective non-destructive testing program to re-use the "Raymond" step-taper piles.
PCAS during construction have helped the designers and NAVFAC Pacific develop an economical and practical way to design and construct this building within budget.
